About Andrew Veles
I design products where clarity, speed, and trust are critical — from AI-driven operational tools to blockchain-based platforms. My work spans startups, scale-ups, and enterprise systems, always aiming to make complexity feel effortless.

Self-taught product designer
Story
I was born in 1995 in Kyiv, Ukraine, with deep roots in engineering and an early obsession with collecting and organizing — mugs, coins, stamps, books, and all kinds of information from the internet. I enjoyed structuring them into neat systems, where everything had its place. Even the folder structure on my computer still works today. I also spent hours playing economic strategy games, which taught me patience and sharpened my observation skills.
My journey into design began in 2008 when I torrented Adobe Photoshop CS2. In middle school, I became fascinated with HTML and CSS, building my first website from scratch. By eighteen, I had joined LUN, dropped out of university, and was designing full-time. Those early years left a lasting impression — it was my first real taste of product challenges and metrics, and I was hooked.

Family
I got married at 23 and have never regretted making that choice so early. My wife Tetiana and I have been through challenges and victories together, working side by side, launching art projects like the Geisha NFT Project and The Treasure, and pulling off the impossible by supporting each other.
Through this, I came to truly understand the meaning of work-life balance and have been an active advocate for it. In 2022, I became a father of two — Norah and Olivia — and my perspective on the world, people, and work changed completely. They are now my driving force, my best project yet, and I want to use everything I know to help them grow faster and with purpose.
Work
I design with the same mindset I use to solve engineering problems: start with the system, define the story, and embed empathy into every decision. Technology works because it follows rules, while design succeeds because it tells a well-structured story. When those two forces are aligned and guided by empathy, the result is a product that supports high-stakes decisions with clarity.
For nearly 15 years, I’ve applied this formula across domains ranging from IoT and marketing to AI-driven operational tools and blockchain platforms. The structure and discipline of engineering principles make my products robust, while empathy ensures they are intuitive and efficient. My work is often described as clean, feature-rich, and adaptive — a combination that allows products to scale without losing clarity.
I’m fluent in the languages of both design and development, which allows me to bridge the gap between vision and execution. Whether I’m shaping a product strategy, building a design system, or working side by side with engineers, my focus is always on making complexity feel effortless for the people who use the product.
Values
I don’t see myself as an executor. I work as a partner — someone who helps define the vision, shape the strategy, and carry it through to execution. I believe the best results come when everyone involved is aligned on goals, transparent in communication, and committed to the product’s success.
Transparency isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s a multiplier. When information is shared openly, decisions are faster, problems are solved earlier, and trust becomes a natural part of the workflow.
Family comes first. I believe work should exist in balance with life, not in competition with it. The best design decisions are made when the people making them have clarity of mind, energy, and purpose.
Complexity doesn’t intimidate me. I run toward it, break it apart, and rebuild it into something that works. That’s the core of my craft — and the value I bring to every team I join.
